This is the whole staff of the Cosmic Folklore Studios, except Lora. I will have to get a picture of her when she is beading and not working on taxes :)
...for yourself or that special someone, but you're not sure how to get it done.

You might start with…
…a particular stone that you like,
…you might want something similar to a piece that you see in my portfolio,
…or you may just want something special for a loved one.

How do you go about getting something commissioned from me?
Contact me with a description of what you would like me to make.
You can reach me, at reddog272@yahoo.com (or come by the *shop if you are close enough).  Include in your email, a description of what you would like, your phone number, and a price range.   If you own a stone that you want set, send a photograph with the size of the stone.  Don't worry, I can help you with pictures.
If this is a gift and you are not sure exactly what you would like, I have a few simple questions that can help us develop something unique and meaningful.  Regardless, we may swap a few emails (or a phone call) to help me better meet your expectations.

2.  I will draw up an initial sketch and email it to you for verification.  You may ask for changes, and I will redraw the idea until we agree on a design and price.

3.  Once you approve a sketch, pay me half of the agreed upon price.  And, I will begin at that moment.  .

4.  When I finish the design, I will photograph the piece and email it to you.  Generally, expect it to take me two weeks to complete an order, unless we otherwise agree on a different timeframe.  Sometimes miracles can happen

5.  If it meets your expectations, you pay the remainder.

6.  I mail the work to you.

I guarantee my work, and if you are unhappy with something besides the initial design, mail it back to me for changes or a refund within seven days.

I try my best to make this as easy as possible for you, but I also want to fully meet or exceed your expectations.  I am also very experienced at working with husbands and boyfriends that might not be certain of what their special someone would want.  I do my best not to use too many jewelry terms.  Communication is the key to collaborating, and I want you understand and to feel comfortable with working with me.

I look forward to working with you

Quick question: can you forge me a white gold ring for a male sized finger with deep amethyst jewel stone in the middle?

I love your family dynamic and your work. I have a little girl who's just learned to run, and I have visions of her harassing me until I teach her how to hold a torch and make her own art to wear.
Your pieces are spectacular examples of composition, color, and creativity, and I can't tell you how inspiring they are to see.

Thanks you,
Mine didn't exactly beg me. I had to coerce just as my dad did. But, at this age, they spend more time on homework than at the bench. I wonder sometimes if they may be stretching out the homework to keep me from making them make chain :)

Thanks, but I think of it more as a Fine Art instead of a pure craft,
but thank you again :)

Another Roadside Attraction was required reading at the alternative school I attended. Thanks for reminding me of it!

Really? That's a pretty risqué book for school. It must have been a really alternative school ;)

obsessing is cool, but I think of it more as a form of communion with the Creator by becoming a creator. The big creative vibe, ;)
